If you're looking for saltwater fishing and both camaraderie and solitude in a wilderness setting, this is the camp for you. Just like all our staffed camps, you catch the fish and we'll take care of the chores. It's the most relaxing way to experience Prince William Sound.
Time your trip to catch the species of your choice. Early in the season, we will fish for sockeye and king salmon. Starting about the third week of June, the pink and chum salmon return in huge numbers and make for lots of fun on a fly rod or light spin gear. During late July, the acrobatic silvers start showing up and are running thick by early August.
Although halibut are active in early May and continue all summer long, June and July have produced our biggest monsters. While most average 25 to 50 pounds, we've caught many in the 100-pound range -- and you might be the lucky lander of the next 200-pounder. Red snapper, rockfish and ling cod could be among incidental "bonus" catches when fishing for halibut.
When you're not fishing, there's plenty of water and wilderness to explore. Bears and eagles can sometimes be spotted near salmon streams. Sea otters, sea lions and seals are common sights and whales have been seen right from camp.
Your floating cabin accommodations are anchored just around the corner from the on shore dining room where our hearty family style meals are served.
